Alastair Philp - the new Be-IT recruit: butchers, bookies and a famous golf club maker
Posted on 3rd April 2016
Strange facts about Be-IT people, No 1. Our newest arrival, young(ish) Alastair Philp, apart from (allegedly) looking like that Bear Grylls chap, shares his surname with one of the most famous golf club makers of all time. Like Alastair, a Fifer, Hugh Philp made clubs for some of the giants of the early days of golf – men like Old Tom Morris – and is today described as the Stradivarius of Golf. So he’s got quite a lot to live up to, but he’s making a promising start!
