Technology Scotland - Skills & Recruitment Survey of the Scottish Technology Sector.

Technology Scotland has asked us to share the results of their most recent research which we're delighted to do. This is an interesting and very useful survey and well worth taking time to read in full - click here
The Key Messages are:
70% of participants believe there is a disconnect between current university focus and industry requirements
64% of participants believe there is a current skills gap within their business
61% of participants have experienced at least 1 skills shortage vacancy in the last 12 months which has remained open for over 3 months
89% of participants do not typically have problems retaining staff
87% of participants believe the Scottish technology sector remains an attractive place to do business
Stephen Taylor, CEO of Technology Scotland, (pictured here) said that the results show that the sector remains “vibrant, active and resilient” despite a number of Skills & Recruitment challenges, with 87% of participants believing that Scotland remains an attractive place to do business.
