Some more IT sexism...and salaries

As you know, we spent the summer conducting a large-scale exercise to examine the extent of sexism in the IT world. Since then, of course, the subject has dominated the media (and our results will be made public very soon). I wrote in my previous blog about the Kaggle survey of 16,700 data scientists worldwide and suggested that it is well worth taking the time to study the findings.
One of the things they studied was salary levels. Interestingly, you can filter the results by gender, which I have done and the graphs for men and women are shown below (women first).
Even allowing for the fact that the figures are in US dollars, the difference is obvious - virtually $5,300 or £4,023 in real money. Need I say more...
