What are we like?
If you read yesterday’s blog, you’ll know that one key differentiator for Be-IT is that we have a set of core values and are most definitely not in the business of taking people off the street, encouraging them to spray CVs around and then spitting them out again if they don’t perform. Our method is to take productive people and make them more productive. Sure, if you can’t sell consistently then you’re not going to succeed, but if you can sell and don’t live up to our values - honesty, respect, ethical behaviour, accountability, flexibility and knowledge - then you’re not right for us. We really do set the bar very high.
How big are we?
Less than five years after we began trading, we’re now the largest independently owned IT recruitment firm in Scotland. We currently employ 26 people and this year we are going to employ ten more, taking us to what we think will be virtually full capacity for the market here. We are planning to expand in other locations north and south of the border in the future so there will be opportunities for those prepared to move, but this year the focus is on consolidating our Glasgow and Edinburgh teams. In other words, this is a very good time to get into Be-IT in Scotland because it’s going to get (even) more difficult to do so in the future!
Who do we want?
Ideally, we want seasoned individuals with proven experience in IT/digital/change recruitment/resourcing. However, we are also happy to talk to those with varying levels of recruitment/resourcing experience gained in any another relevant discipline who can demonstrate a genuine desire to work in the incredibly fast-growing world of IT recruitment.
More specifically, we’re looking for a range of different types of people: from those with delivery skills who will focus on the clients/candidates as required to those who love everything about business development and engagement with new customers. However, no matter whether you are a resourcer, able to track down and winkle out the best candidates from the internet, social media and elsewhere, or the best business developer in the country, you must be a personable, polished and professional individual, able to manage relationships across the full recruitment life cycle.
