Sarah WalkerIt's a sign of our continuing expansion that we're taking on not just more consultants, but also more support staff.  This is great as it means that we can then take on more consultants!  It's onwards and upwards at Be-IT, helped by this young lady and her step-up to success (she is, by her own admission somewhat vertically challenged!).

Name: Sarah Walker

Job title: Contractor Support Administrator

Favourite (non work) website and why?
Any toddler recipe website for fussy toddlers who only eat sausages and macaroni cheese. Although it usually ends up all over me regardless of what I make…

Favourite (work) website and why?
FireFish – Considering I used Daxtra at my old work, FireFish is a DREAM and so user friendly!

Favourite techie gadget?
Has to be my phone – what did we do before them?!?!

What other jobs have you done?
What haven’t I done? Waitressing, retail, supermarket and office support.

What it your biggest disaster at work (anywhere)?
This isn’t so much a disaster but just a pain to everyone I worked with at the time. I worked in a Tesco Express and wasn’t signed off to climb ladders (I know…).   Because I was (still am!) so short I had to ask everyone I worked with and even customers to reach things for me all day, every day. Needless to say, I did not make employee of the month while working there. I now have my own step in Be-IT to reach the whiteboard and glasses in the kitchen.

Why did you join Be-IT?
From my initial chat with Nikola I could tell it was a thriving company with its employees’ best interests at heart. After working for so many companies where you were just a number to them, it was refreshing to see how Be-IT treat their staff.

Favourite food and drink and where in the world would you like to be when you are having them?
A good risotto with a rhubarb and ginger gin sitting in Disneyworld (Such a big kid!).

Recommend a restaurant and/or bar for us?
Definitely No16 on Byres Road. Go for their lunch menu; it’s amazing and fantastic value!

Which one of your colleagues makes you laugh the most?
Genuinely can’t pick just one – they all are hilarious in their own ways.

And why?
There’s never a time in the office where someone isn’t laughing at something. Such a great environment to work in.
