Simon AllenIt was Oscar Wilde (and be honest, you didn't expect him in a Be-IT blog) who wrote something along the lines of "to lose one is a misfortune, to lose two looks like carelessness."  

You know what it's like... you take the car out for a spin, don't pay enough attention and before you know it there is an insurance claim for several hundred pounds.  But think how much more expensive it would be if you were driving a really, really large and very, very expensive vehicle.  And think how even worse it would be if you did this not once, but twice....

What other jobs have you done apart from working in recruitment? 
I feel like I have been in recruitment forever however before this I was in the Army 

What it your biggest disaster at work (anywhere)?
I crashed 2 tanks while in the army…….oops 

If you had to choose only one, which would it be – and why?
Facebook or LinkedIn? 

Facebook – It’s prettier
Edinburgh or Glasgow? 
Edinburgh – It’s a nicer city (not sure your Glasgow colleagues would agree - Ed)
Holiday in Spain or Scotland? 
Spain – It’s hotter!

Favourite food and drink and where in the world would you like to be when you are having them?  
Wouldn’t mind eating Nasi-Goreng (Indonesian fried rice) again while sitting on the beach in Bali drinking beer

As a new boy, what was your first impression of Be-IT after your first day in the office? 
That I will settle in here just nicely, culture and team seemed like a good fit immediately.

What makes you laugh? 
Myself most of the time, but failing that a bit of Frankie Boyle 

Who in the Be-IT team makes you laugh? (and why?) 
Stuart.........what can I say he just comes out with some crackers, plus he’s my boss so I have to find him funny.

Favourite (non work) website and why? 
I will say BBC Sport 

What’s the one techie gadget APART from your phone that you couldn’t live without? 
My DJ equipment, couldn’t live without my music!
