It’s getting better buy and buy - Be-IT and DPS 2.00
Posted on 18th March 2019
Be-IT is delighted to be a supplier under DPS 2.0, the new dynamic purchasing system for digital technology services in Scotland. This Scotland-wide contract will enable up to 122 different public bodies to buy from a roster of IT companies (but we recommend you use us!) for the next few years.
The contract went live on 18th March and has as its objective the encouragement of strong competition, especially from SMEs, with users benefiting from a completely electronic process and streamlined procurement, making for greater efficiencies all-round as well as competitive pricing.
Be-IT will be providing services under the first two Lots of the contract: Digital technology projects and Digital technology resources. Put simply, the first requires us to put a team into the client’s organisation and manage it, while the second is a simpler ‘call-off’ where users need, for example, a java developer or a data analyst and approach us to supply the appropriate Be-IT Consultant.
If you work in the public sector in Scotland and would like to take advantage of this, please let me know and I’ll be happy to advise you.
Michael Phair, Associate Director, Be-IT
