Highly Commended in the Scottish Women's Awards
Posted on 29th August 2019
Following on from my last blog - in which I noted that recruiting Nikola Kelly seemed like a good idea at the time and that this turned out to be one of my better decisions - I'm delighted to say that I'm not the only person who is of this opinion.
I also mentioned in the aforementioned blog that Nik had been shortlisted in the "Business Woman of the Year (companies under 50 employees)" category at the Scottish Women's Awards. Well, we trotted along to the Crowne Plaza (other hotels are available) in Glasgow and, well, she didn't win. That accolade went to Claire Donnelly of Aspire Business Services in Glasgow, and a very sincere congratulations goes to her.
However, although Nikola didn't win the top prize, I am delighted to say that she was also (the only person to be) Highly Commended in her category, which is no mean achievement as there were nine nominees in total. So once again my very sincere congratulations, and thanks for her inspired leadership, from me and the rest of the team at Be-IT. In case you are wondering, that's her second from the left, in the red dress, in the photo. Let's hope for similar or even better success for her at the Herald & Glasgow Chamber awards next week!
