After the excitement of last week's Scottish Women's Awards, when Nikola Kelly, our MD, was Highly Commended in the "Business Woman of the Year (companies under 50 employees)" category, a troupe of Be-IT persons set off last night to the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow to see if she would have better luck in the Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, "Inspiring Cities" awards.

We settled down for the night, armed only with a modicum of alcoholic beverages, just sufficient to keep the chill at bay and no more.

Anyway, we were all very abstemious (at this point). The conversation flowed, the wit and repartee likewise sparkled and, thank goodness, no-one spoke about Brexit.

Then we came to the business end of the evening.  It has to be said that this is a serious, well-organised and prestigious event, so we were somewhat on tenterhooks as the awards began to be handed out..

"Our" category -  the "Outstanding Contribution by a Young Business Leader" Award was announced.  The tension was palpable. Then we heard the words we wanted to  hear... "and the winner is, Nikola Kelly of Be-IT Resourcing Ltd.

Many congratulations Nikola, and the team who support her.  Very well deserved indeed!
