Still some spaces available for our Codebar training session
Posted on 27th February 2020
One thing we are acutely aware of here at Be-IT is the difficulty many employers have in finding skilled candidates for their jobs (after all, it’s what we’re in business for!). We also know, and have regularly written about, the lack of women and minority groups in the industry. Consequently, I’m delighted that we are able to do something, however small, about this, by sponsoring a Codebar session, to be held in conjunction with and at the office of our friends, After Digital (just across the road from us, so a short walk!) on 11th March.
Codebar is a not-for-profit organisation that organises free coding and programming workshops to help expand the diversity of the tech community. More specifically, Codebar enables underrepresented people to learn programming and thus expand their career opportunities and their workshops are only available to women, LGBTQ and people from underrepresented minority groups. We hope to see a lot of you at this session. If you have any questions, please do get in touch and if you are unsure if you eligible have a look at Codebar’s eligibility criteria.
