As we all know, the IT jobs market is a bit mad just now.  Supply and demand are far from equal, to put it mildly. And with more freelancers giving up the joys of self-employment and taking a company shilling (partly as a result of IR35 changes being extended to the private sector), it’s becoming even harder to find short or medium-term resources to complete projects without dramatically ramping up your own permanent staff and, of course, with all that comes the increase in costs – soon to be added to by additional NIC in April.   As a result, a number of recruitment companies have launched their own consultancy arms, aimed at providing project teams to help clients deliver big pieces of work, augmenting their clients’ own, in-house teams but without the overheads associated with taking on new, perm staff.

Be-IT has been an early entrant to this market, with the soft launch of Be-IT Projects nearly a year ago, in March 2021. We’ve been working successfully with a couple of big clients since then, but are now seeking to expand and grow this important division of our company.

That said, we know where we sit in the food chain. We’re not a Capgemini or Accenture and don’t profess to do what they do; but then again neither of those two, mammoth organisations can do what Be-IT does. I would argue that Be-IT Projects have the best of both worlds, for while the likes of Capgemini or Accenture can win huge projects, they don’t always have the local contacts and flexibility that a local partner, like Be-IT Projects, can offer.  Also, for the smaller IT employer, who can’t afford the fees of the big guns, a medium-sized service partner like Be-IT is both affordable and practical.  Ultimately though, it’s our local expertise and the engine behind Projects that is Be-IT Resourcing that are our USPs.

Throughout the pandemic we’ve seen lots of changes in the IT jobs market, with companies needing different services and therefore  keen to explore a hybrid model.  In our experience, contractors rarely want to engage inside IR35 now, but if they do, they want a significant uplift to their daily rate.  Spread across a year, this is a considerable amount of money for many companies to take on.  Hence the desire to work with someone like Be-IT Projects. We give them access to first-class IT consultants, which in turn allows them to focus on the project and get their work done on time and on budget.

The key here, I believe, is that Be-IT Resourcing has demonstrated time and time again over its (nearly) eight years of existence, that we have the ability to find the best techies and support staff more consistently than other recruitment firms.  It is this smoothly-functioning engine – the power at the heart of our business - that has delivered for our current Projects customers and will be able to do for more employers in the near future.

If you’ve got a project planned or ongoing that would benefit from our service, please get in touch for a no-obligation chat.  I look forward to hearing from you.
