Agile Project Manager - Aberdeen


Fantastic opportunity for experienced Project Manager with experience in Agile environments to join growing software development team at exciting time and help create the next generation of features for their core platform.

You will work with development teams to ensure value delivery, as well as communicate with stakeholders, and manage risks and impediments.  As well as facilitating delivery and team processes, you will also coach the teams in Agile practices and aid continual improvement.


Key Skills;

  • Experience working in IT systems & software as a Agile Project Manager and/or Scrum Master
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • Working in a collaborative Lean-Agile environment with multi-disciplined teams
  • Strong communication, business and technical skills
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking skills with the ability to approach problems logically and systematically
  • Well-organised and a self-starter, having the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lead small teams on multiple projects using different methodologies through the project lifecycle
  • Working with outsourced teams


About the role;

  • Help set clear goals and expectations for sprints and releases
  • Co-ordinate all delivery activities
  • Manage outsourced resources to ensure they deliver to the correct scope on time and on budget
  • Plan and track releases, report on progress, gather metrics
  • Remove impediments, manage risks and issues
  • Identify and address bottlenecks
  • Optimize the flow of work
  • Guide team through estimation for stories and releases
  • Protect teams from outside interference
  • Facilitate team meetings (sprint and release planning meetings, demos etc)
  • Encourage collaboration
  • Coach teams and individuals in Lean-Agile practices
  • Drive continual improvement
