Graduate Developer 

Be-IT Resourcing is currently working with a large software and analytics company based in Glasgow. They are looking for a Graduate who will work as part of one of our clients Professional Services (PS) teams engaging directly with our clients to develop world class customer experience solutions using the company’s portfolio of Customer Engagement Optimisation (CEO) products.

Key Tasks:

Install, configure and utilise software engineering skills to customise CEO products. Participate in meetings and workshops with clients to gather the client’s requirements and explain how CEO products meet those requirements. Utilise other technologies as part of the overall solution e.g. Relational Databases. Carry out testing of the solution and create supporting documentation

Where the opportunity exists, participate and contribute in workshops to gather client requirements in order to gain a full understanding of the requirements and therefore produce configuration and code that meets those needs exactly. Follow/challenge design document, identify gaps and develop all aspects of the solution such as User Interface, Business Rules, Object Model, Integration and Database model independently. Maintain awareness of impact of own work on overall solution. Participate in code reviews and learn lessons from those reviews in order to continually improve coding standards. Effectively triage defects (UI, process and integration) and fix simple/medium bugs. Be responsible for designing simple sections of our solutions maximizing OOTB functionality, adhering to specifications, requirements and coding standards without support. Follow best practice guidelines for the installation, configuration and customization of CEO products to ensure high quality delivery. Specifying and executing Unit Tests, System Tests and Performance Unit Tests of software solutions. Carry out duties according to company policy and quality assurance processes.

Skills very knowledgeable/experienced in two or more of the following areas:

  • Understanding of all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience of using SQL and relational database technologies e.g. SQL Server, Oracle.
  • Knowledge of developing and using Web Services e.g. SOAP.
  • Languages: Good knowledge of Java, HTML, JavaScript,
