BE-IT work closely with a global family of companies offering the full spectrum of marine and offshore services where they put the quality of their service and the safety of their people at the heart of everything they do. They are looking for an IT Security Team Leader who will accountable for ensuring the agreed IT Security standards are implemented and compliant with legislation and industry standards.
Some key responsibilities
- Be responsible and demonstrably report all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the IT Security team
- Commit to and meet all agreed and stated requirements for all IT Security projects
- Investigate and document security breaches, other cyber security incidents and assess the damage they cause
- Providing timely IT Security input into IT strategy and subsequent projects to implement strategy
- Measure and report the performance of the IT security strategy
- Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines
- Work with IT Quality and Contracts manager to manage contracts with vendors and software licenses
- Understand, implement, measure and report, monitor security systems (vulnerability scanning, boundary protection, intrusion detection, antivirus, logfile analysis etc.)
- Perform penetration testing with 3rd parties or internally
- Participate in IT Security audits
Essential
- Degree level or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Cyber Security
- Significant experience in working in an IT Security environment
- Demonstratable experience managing an IT Security team
- Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
- Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks
- Excellent team leadership skills and people management skills
- Familiarity with Satellite Communication system
Desirable
- Demonstratable experience managing IT Security in a globally distributed IT environment
- CISSP (highly desirable)
- Experience coaching and mentoring an IT Security team
- Experience with ISO 27001
- Audit experience
This is a hybrid working model with 2 days at home with 3 days in the office in Clydebank, Glasgow.
