Are you an experienced Java Developer who has worked around cloud technology?

You will have a good computer science degree, with the ability to write great, clean code, with a high level off attention to details and a good problem-solving skill.

Technical skills

  • Java/J2een and relevant frameworks with ability to adapt to other languages
  • Experience with the Google App Engine stack or significant experience with other servlet-based applications such as Tomcat
  • Experience of using NoSQL databases and the benefits and issues of such data stores
  • Exposure to GWT, AngularJS and other web frontend technologies
  • Knowledge of a range of Microsoft Products and APIs including Exchange Web Services (EWS), MAPI, Office 365, SharePoint and Azure APIs

 

It would be advantageous if you had any knowledge of the following and/or are passionate about cloud technologies.

  • Knowledge of a range of Google products including G Suite and its APIs, Google App Engine and the range of Google Cloud Platform services and APIs
  • Knowledge of a range of Microsoft Products and APIs including Exchange Web Services (EWS), MAPI, Office 365, SharePoint and Azure APIs
  • Experience with developing secure, scalable applications
  • Exposure to agile and iterative development processes

This position can be home-based, but we are looking for someone within easy traveling distance of Manchester.  The development team work UK or Central European Time hours and as such you would normally be expected to work the same hours.
