This is a unique opportunity to further sharpen your Linux skills while working on enterprise level, challenging projects and move firmly into a DevOps environment where skills development and training will be fully provided.

You will cover the 3rd line support of enterprise services delivered to internal and external customers hosted on Redhat/AIX & Solaris Physical and Virtual Infrastructure. Working closely with 1st and 2nd tier support teams to deliver a professional effective enterprise support offering

Alongside this support requirement, you will work as part of larger project delivery teams, to deliver new services and enhance existing services. Your role within these teams will span across all of the project lifecycle including (but not be limited to) design influence, infrastructure build, test environment support and implementation deliverables and support.

Key Experience Required:

  • Redhat Linux 5.5 and above, including physical and virtual deployments
  • Solaris OS 8, 9 & 10
  • Jumpstart (Solaris), Redhat Satellite, and NIM for AIX
  • Network configuration and tuning on RHEL and Solaris
  • HP x86

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of SAN and EMC technologies
  • Knowledge of high availability technologies, such as Veritas products, VMWare’s SRM and IBM Power HA products
  • SUN workgroup (E6900, V240, V480, V490, T2000, M5000, etc)
  • Exposure to WebSphere, MQ, TWS, Connect Direct, NetBackup, ITIM and Oracle would be highly advantageous.
