Our clients engineering team is looking for an experienced “hands-on” Senior Scrum Master / Agile Coach who can provide leadership in developing and guiding high performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about lean agile teams, confident, analytical, highly technical, and a solid influencer and communicator.  The candidate must have a proven track record of building and continuously improving product development processes and driving technology implementations for large scale high availability software solutions. The candidate must also be fluent in latest technology trends, expert in system architecture using Java technology stack with proven ability to strive in high paced agile environment.

  • Be Agile Coach for Glasgow engineering organization, and restless innovator to help teams to achieve maximum performance and enjoy doing that
  • Perform Scrum Master responsibilities for several scrum teams that are part of large global fast paced engineering organization
  • Conduct daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, showcases, scrum of scrums, release planning and other related activities
  • Continuously learn and improve product development process utilizing data and metrics
  • Be a process and technical leader, driving innovation and technology choices to build enterprise workforce management solutions
  • Deliver high-quality, robust, high-performance software solutions
  • Strive to refine development process for maximum effectiveness
  • Mentor team members, provide guidance, leadership, and advocate best practices to the team in the areas of lean, agile, scrum, SAFe and overall product development process

Skills and Experience

  • Expert level practical knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodology
  • Minimum 10 years of software development, engineering or process management experience in which at least 5 years using Agile/SCRUM, scaled agile or similar methodologies
  • Strong technical knowledge:  OOP, systems architecture, Java and related frameworks, modern JScript frameworks, microservices, relational and noSQL databases, CI/CD
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience building complex cloud based products in 10+ team agile environments
  • Strong team leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, motivate, and influence others
  • Passion to deliver a high quality, industry leading user experience
