Systems Administrator – Edinburgh

Are you looking for a challenging role in a market leading data warehousing and analytics and software solutions company, who are part of a larger business process outsourcer? Where you will be a Systems Administrator who will support the rapidly growing SaaS business with several exciting migration and upgrade, then read on this may be the role for you?

The company

Be-IT is working in close collaboration with a leader in a Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Analytics that provides a comprehensive insight into client’s data. Combining high quality and performance services, added value and innovation, this consultancy enables its clients to make the best use of technology to understand data.

The role

You will be responsible for the provisioning, installation and configuration, security, operation and maintenance of the software solutions that they host and supply. You will be tracking the performance of the system and make improvements to the systems performance, unlocking the capability of the open source data for their clients.


To be successful in this role, you will be well versed in the management of issues and identifications of resolution paths, Performance monitoring, Data base management (data volumes/space analysis) and Infrastructure management (patching/security etc.).

Technical it is essential that you have the following experience:

  • Windows Servers
  • Azure/AWS
  • Batch files/PowerShell
  • MS SQL Server/SQL server agent

It would be advantageous if you had any knowledge of MSMQ & Rabbit Mq, IBM DB2 &IBM Cognos analytic, other BI intelligence tools for data extraction or have used C#/Python.
