This is a truly exciting Web Software Technical Lead role with a well-established and highly successful international company. You will join a Software Development team based in their modern Glasgow office to actively contribute to the future state software roadmaps for web platform applications and a further development of an industry leading web catalogue by providing an expert and professional software services to our client’s organization.

You will define a web platform roadmap that aligns to the overall company’s strategy on an international level; collaborate with project managers, team leaders, system designers and developers to write, review, or provide feedback on a technical design proposal; showcase continuous development and research on modern web technologies; provide professional, timely and effective IT software design services relating to application lifecycle management, security, software re-use and software as a service; ensure the compliance of all major software elements with the IT security policies and 3rd party security requirements.


To be successful in this role, you need to have a solid experience of a software design and implementation, software architecture definition, technical assurance of 3rd party solutions; an understanding of enterprise architecture as well as an experience of best practice software design, development and operations. This role involves around 40% of hands-on engagement in high-level build, therefore you need to have an up to date programming skills using modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Angular.js), Microsoft .NET development stack, and ideally some experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, VB/SQL client-server and SOA.

Additionally, you will demonstrate a business sense, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a pragmatic and flexible approach joined with a can-do attitude and keen interest in newest technologies.
